How to apply

The ECNP Travel Award is open to all individuals residing in Europe (including Russia, Turkey and Israel). To be considered for an award, the applicant must comply with the following:

  • As first author submit a paper for poster presentation. This paper should be accepted for presentation and publication.
  • Age limit: 35 years at the start of the congress.

  • Pre-doctoral or doctoral student.
    or
  • Post doc within the first four years of employment at a university or scientific institution after having received a PhD.
    or
  • Resident or MD in training within the first five years after becoming MD.

  • Present the poster at the congress.
  • By acceptance of the award, agree that the poster is published on the ECNP website, provided the poster is approved for publication by a scientific jury. The awardee will provide ECNP with an electronic copy of the poster.

Applicants should submit a paper for poster presentation online via this website and tick the appropriate box. Please follow the instructions for the preparation of papers. Following submission, the applicant will receive a poster reference number.

In addition, the following items have to be sent to the ECNP Office by e-mail:

  • A letter including the applicant’s e-mail address, the poster reference number, the poster title and the
    name of the first author.
  • A scanned copy of their student card or a scanned official letter from the head of their department,
    university or institution.
  • A scanned copy of their passport or another form of photo identification including date of birth.

Only complete applications will be considered.

It is no longer possible to apply for the ECNP Travel Award.

Receipt of your application will be confirmed by the ECNP Office via e-mail within two weeks. If you have not received a confirmation within this period, please notify the ECNP Office immediately at +31 30 253 8567.

Applicants will be informed about the decision of the scientific review committee before 1 July 2012. There can be no correspondence about the outcome.
