Definition of a young scientist in Europe
For benefits related to ECNP Congresses:
- Not older than 35 years at the start of the congress
- Pre-doctoral or doctoral student.
or
Post doc within the first four years of employment at a university or scientific institution after having received a PhD.
or
Resident or MD in training within the first five years after becoming MD.
For benefits related to the ECNP Workshop on Neuropsychopharmacology for Young Scientists in Europe:
- Not older than 35 years at the start of the workshop.
- Pre-doctoral or doctoral student.
or
Post doc within the first four years of employment after having received a PhD.
or
Resident or MD in training within the first five years after becoming MD.
For benefits related to the ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology and ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology:
- European psychiatrists within five years of receiving their defining qualification.
- Nominated by members of the ECNP Advisory Board of National Societies*
