Karl Deisseroth is the D. H. Chen Professor of Bioengineering and of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. One of the leading neuroscientists in the world today, he is recipient of the Brain Prize (2013), the Albany Medical Center Prize (2015), the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award (2015), Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences (2016), and the Gairdner Foundation International Award (2018).
