The Best Negative Data Prize in Preclinical Neuroscience, organised together with the Global Preclinical Data Forum (GPDF), recognises published 'negative' scientific results and results that do not confirm the expected outcome.

Winner 20242024 Best Negative Data Prize in Preclinical Neuroscience
The winner is Karlijn Kooij, the Netherlands, for her paper 'Fecal microbiota transplantation in anorexia nervosa didn’t alter flexible behavior in rats'.

The winner of the 2024 Best Negative Data Prize in Preclinical Neuroscience will receive travel and accommodations support to attend the 37th ECNP Congress, 21-24 September 2024, Milan, Italy (made possible through the generous support of ECNP), where will be expected to present their negative results paper during a Campfire Session at this event.
There is no monetary award associated with the 2024 prize. The review committee selected and informed the winner by 1 September 2024. For further details about the prize, read the press release

The award is conferred at the ECNP Congress.
